- Bush did not invade Iraq or remove Saddam in fear of losing the Arab support

- Saddam tried to get Israelis involved by firing SCUD missiles at them

Why did these countries join forces in the coalition of Iraq ?
Summary
Saddam ordered Iraq to invade the country of Kuwait, which was just north bordering Iraq. George Bush Sr. placed sanctions on Iraq to pull out, and up to 30 countries had joined in a coalition to stop Iraq from doing this. Even some of the Arabian countries joined the coalition. However the US made sure that Israel would not join.
